Installation & Commissioning of a Car Shredder / Recycling Plant

Professional installation and commissioning of a car shredder is a demanding task requiring high precision and technical know-how. In this project, a modern recycling plant was installed specifically for shredding and recovering end-of-life vehicles.

Project overview

The task was to install and commission a recycling plant consisting of several complex components. The plant was specifically developed for efficient shredding of end-of-life vehicles. After shredding, individual materials can be sorted and prepared for reuse. The entire setup was carried out under strict safety and environmental requirements.

Special features and challenges

Building the plant required coordination of heavy equipment such as cranes and lifting platforms to position the massive shredder components with millimetre precision. A particular challenge was integrating the shredder into the existing infrastructure and aligning the conveyor technology correctly to ensure smooth material flow.

Process and realization

• Installation: Installation began with erection of the support structures and platforms, followed by installation of the car shredder. Conveyor belts and sorting systems were assembled in parallel.
• Wiring and control: After mechanical installation, electrical connections and control systems were integrated. Programming the automated processes played a key role in operation.
• Test run and commissioning: After successful installation, an extensive testing phase followed. All systems were checked for performance before the plant was officially commissioned.

Result

The car shredder plant was commissioned on schedule and to the full satisfaction of the customer. It now provides a sustainable solution for material recovery and helps reduce waste. Thanks to robust construction and well-designed process control, the plant will continue to perform reliably in the future.
